Abstract
This performance review examines the phenomena of Zoom Shakespeare during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this review, I examine the ways in which The Show Must Go Online paved the way for other productions of Zoom Shakespeare, including the “Read for the Globe” readathon to raise money to save Shakespeare’s Globe. In this examination, I consider how these productions forged international communities during a time of isolation, and how the social media presence of these productions served to create distinct fandoms that imbricate audiences inside the performance experience.
